- 1 bagel split and toasted
- ΒΌ cup whitefish salad
- 2 ounces sliced smoked sable fish
- 3 tablespoons cream cheese
- Pickled Red Onions
- Capers
Homemade Pickled Red Onions
- 2 large red onions peeled, halved, and thinly sliced
- 1 cup cider vinegar
- 1/8 cup granulated sugar
- 1 heaping teaspoon kosher salt

Sandwich
- Lay toasted bagel out open on a plate.
- Spread white fish salad on one side. Top with sable, red onions and capers.
- Spread cream cheese on the other half of bagel. Place over the sandwich and serve.
Homemade Pickled Red Onions
- Place all the ingredients in a glass jar and keep in the fridge until ready to use. The longer you store it the more intense the flavor gets.
- As the onions are so thin you can start using them after half an hour of marinating in the pickling liquid.
