Wow, really amazing story and great advice. Especially the part about finding rebeim and mentors and having trust in their judgement. We say in davening in shmonei esreh, "Return the judges and our councilors like in the beginning and remove from us sorrow and angst." I believe the message we are supposed to glean from this is the point you were making. Much of our sorrow and angst can be alleviated from having the proper rebeim. Much hatzlacha with your future endeavours!
