About the Author

Vivien Kalvaria

Vivien Kalvaria, was born and raised in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). A classically trained actress and a former television news director, she now devotes herself to writing. Her forthcoming memoir/biography My Name is Not Rifka will be her third published book.

Vivien lives in Florida, with her husband, a gastroenterologist. They have three children and six grandchildren. When she’s not writing, she can be found remodeling homes, playing mahjong or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

Quote from her book’s website:  In the wake of October 7, we learned that antisemitism sleeps lightly. Today, we stand on the precipice of a resurgence on a scale not seen since WW2.  The parallels to the European pogroms of the 1930s are horrifyingly prescient.
