And now we’re looking for Match #2, and you can help!

I have started training the youngest matchmaker in the world. And no, this is not a gimmick.

Avital is nine years old. She has no phone and I got approval from her parents to tell you about her.

She should probably be more concerned with school and friends than soulmates and compatibility, but here’s the thing. Avital already made her first successful match, at eight years old. With absolutely zero training.

She successfully set her older sister up and now they’re getting married this summer.

I met Avital this year at a Passover program where I lead a live matchmaking program. At the end I opened the mic to the audience for questions and comments and Avital stood up and told me that exactly one year ago, at this Passover program, she convinced her sister and a Passover camp counselor to go on a date. And 14 months later, they’re getting married in Israel.

Young Avital looked at her day camp counselor, looked at her older sister, and thought: Hmm. This makes sense. Instead of keeping that thought to herself like most children would, she actually introduced them.

She told her counselor, “Hey, I have a sister who is 20 and I think you would like to get to know her.”

Then she told her sister, “I met this guy…” but her sister wasn’t interested. Avital got her mom on board too and the two of them told Avital’s sister, “Come on, you have to at least be polite and just meet.” Reluctantly she agreed. The rest is history.

Naturally, I had questions for Avital, lots of them. How did she know they’d work together? What made her think of the match? Did she notice similarities? Complementary personalities? Shared values? Or was this just divine intervention wrapped in pigtails and innocence?

The more I spoke to Avital, the more I realized that she has real instinct, emotional intelligence way beyond her years, and sensitivity. So I offered to start training her as a matchmaker (with her parents approval, of course).

Matchmakers go through a series of intake questions to understand who someone is, what they value, what they’re looking for, and where they may unknowingly sabotage themselves. Most adults struggle with this. Avital? She approached it with more grace than many professionals. One of her questions was: “What are some important values in the right partner for you? For example: loyalty, kindness, smartness, humor.” Simple, thoughtful and direct.

Then she asked: “If you’d like to share why you broke up with your ex, only if you don’t mind telling me.” Only if you don’t mind telling me… Avital instinctively understands consent, emotional safety, and gentleness.

I’ve seen her be respectful, considerate, direct but not interrogative. She naturally leads with curiosity.

Match Number Two

So now I’m on a mission to help Avital make Match Number Two. That’s where Nate comes in.

The internet knows him as “MarryNate.com.” A few months ago, I saw his billboard online. It has one message: MarryNate.com. That’s it. No games, no hidden agenda. Just one man publicly announcing: “I’m serious about finding my wife.”

In a world where people are terrified to commit, emotionally unavailable, hiding behind situationships, and ghosting after discussing baby names, I found it refreshing. So naturally I thought: Avital needs to interview Nate and help him find his soulmate. And she did.

Picture this: A nine-year-old matchmaker interviewing a 40-year-old bachelor with a British accent who rented a billboard to find his wife. If this isn’t the beginning of a Netflix show, I don’t know what is. But beneath the humor and novelty is something deeper. Because Nate is actually a really good guy. He’s forty years old and living in Hollywood, Florida. So we need a woman who is in the Florida area or would love to relocate there. He loves the beach, sports games, concerts, cooking, movies, and deep conversations about life. He prays every day. He believes in God. He values gratitude. He wants children.

He told Avital that he’s looking for someone fun-loving, empathetic, feminine, grounded, peaceful, and non-materialistic. Someone who wants to truly build a life together. Someone who understands that love is not just about chemistry during the highs, but commitment through the highs and lows.

Nate is straightforward yet endearing. Yes, he has strong political opinions (as matchmakers we don’t judge who someone is or what they prefer, we simply note it down). He leans to the right so some people are already nodding enthusiastically while others are now disappointed he won’t be a match for them. Welcome to dating in 2026.

Avital interviewing Nate

And what struck me most about Nate was his motivation. This is a man willing to put himself out there publicly because he genuinely wants love. That takes courage.

So now we’re doing something a little unconventional. Some people crowdsource money. We are crowdsourcing Nate’s wife. And at the same time, helping Avital gain real matchmaking experience.

Maybe you know someone for Nate. Or maybe you are someone for Nate. Nu? Let’s make a match.

If you know a woman who might genuinely align with Nate’s values, lifestyle, personality, and vision for the future, or if you think that woman might be you, email me! Or if you want more information visit marrynate.com

My matchmaker-in-training Avital will interview potential matches for Nate personally. And I’ll guide her every step of the way.

Subject line: Marry Nate

In a world obsessed with cynicism, Avital reminds me of something important: Perhaps the future of matchmaking isn’t louder algorithms or smarter apps. Maybe it’s simply learning how to care about people again.

And who knows? Maybe one year from now, we’ll all be dancing at another wedding in Israel.

May we all merit the wisdom to recognize good souls, the courage to introduce them, and the blessing of seeing many more joyful weddings of the Jewish people.
