How To Host a More Jewish Super Bowl

Super Bowl foods with a Jewish spin.

This year the super bowl is on Sunday February 12, 2023 where the Kansas City Chiefs will face off with the Philadelphia Eagles. It is one of the biggest annual sporting events in the United States and is often celebrated with a wide variety of delicious and satisfying foods. Tops on the list of most popular Super Bowl foods include buffalo wings, nachos, chili, sliders, pizza, hoagies, soft pretzels and of course lots of beer.

Super Bowl parties aren’t about fancy, gourmet meals. It's all about chowing down on some seriously indulgent, greasy, and straight-up delicious grub. And there's a reason certain foods have become staples at these shindigs. It's because they're totally amazing, that's why. Wings? Duh, they're crispy, saucy, and finger-licking good. Pizza? Come on, it's the ultimate comfort food. Nachos? Endless possibilities for toppings and cheese-pulls for days. And let's not forget about the holy grail of Super Bowl snacks: chili dogs. It's a hot dog with all the fixin’s. So, yeah, these foods may not be the healthiest, but that’s not what we’re here to talk about today.

We want to infuse our party with a little bit of Jew food. Maybe get some inspo from our favorite bagel or include some Israeli flavors in the mix. Don’t worry we’re still recommending all your faves, just with a fun Jewish twist. Of course, to keep things kosher you can’t serve meat and dairy at the same time, but we have lots of choices to find your favorite new ways to enjoy the big game.

Instead of buffalo wings try EVERYTHING BAGEL CHICKEN WINGS

These wings happen to be a little healthier too and not as saucy as buffalo wings, if you want something closer to buffalo wings with an Israeli twist, try these Fiery Harissa Wings.

For Nachos, try these PITA CHIP VEGETARIAN NACHOS

Starting with pita chips instead of corn chips and mixing up the toppings for a more Middle Eastern style nachos is a nice change of pace or you can try these Bagel and Lox Nachos using bagel chips.

Instead of chili make this MEXICAN INSPIRED CHOLENT

Cholent is the traditional Shabbat stew usually made with lots of meat and potatoes, this Mexican version is the perfect option for Super Bowl. Bonus is that it is super quick and easy to prep and then cooks as long as you need it to. Eat it alone or serve over a juicy hot dog. You can also make a cholent with hot dogs inside.

No need to order in a pizza, make your own PIZZA BAGELS

You can let everyone top their own bagels before placing in the oven for a few minutes to melt the cheese, this means gourmet pizza bagels for everyone.

Hoagies are another popular game day food, we suggest this ISRAELI HOAGIE

Made with schnitzel and served on challah and loaded with all our favorite spreads and sauces.

Instead of hot dogs make CHALLAH DOGS

A simple way to make your hot dogs more fun and more Jewish is to cover them in chalalh!

Love that buffalo wing flavor, but want to try it another way?

BUFFALO FALAFEL PITAS WITH GARLIC BLUE CHEESE FRIES AND RANCH STYLE TZATZIKI
