A Friday afternoon tradition all over Israel: a bun with a juicy schnitzel, and everyone adds the toppings they like best: fried eggplant, matbucha or tahini.

- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 3 cloves garlic confit or crushed garlic
- 2 cups breadcrumbs or crushed bissli
- 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast sliced thin or pounded

Instructions
- In a large deep plate, beat eggs together with honey, mustard and garlic.
- Place breadcrumbs in another deep plate.
- Dip chicken pieces in egg mixture, then in the breadcrumbs.
- Heat a large saute pan with enough to fry the chicken. Fry until both sides are golden. Remove to a wire rack to cool.
- Serve your schnitzel on a large challah covered with your choice of toppings.
Awesome!! Sort of like an Italian chicken parmesan hero without the Parmesan lol!! I'm going to need to try this I'll have to just make an extra challah for Shabbat!! I could see adding roasted red peppers and cold mozzarella to this!!❤️
