I have read the notes taken by James Madison for the Constitutional Convention in a 2-vol book of them donated by a Yale professor to our local library. The rich people at the convention had a Constitution that didn't give rights to the poor or smaller states. Roger Sherman of NewMiford, CT, about 30 minutes from where I live, prayed, and what G-d gave him was our basic Constitution and representation we have today. The states would not pass it unless all the people had their say, which is the Amendments--the first ten came from the people. Those who wanted the rich to rule never signed it. Iknow G-d willed this country, because there is no way 5,000 farmers and others could have won against 15,000 hird Hessian soldiers andbetween 40,000 to 50,000 English soldiers.
