I had asked for a Hostage to light candles and daven for. Daniel Perez was the hostage I was praying for weekly hoping to hear of his homecoming soon. When I received the email that he was murdered by Hamas on October 7th I was grieving for him. This was not the news I had hoped and prayed for.
Baruch Dayan HaEmet. May Daniel's memory be a blessing.

A beautiful yet heartbreaking video. I have not stopped thinking about Doron and his family. Doron u were there for me. I don't know what I would've done without u. Even though I am so far away, u are in my thoughts and my prayers. I only wish I could do more.

It's not a waste at all.Every soul has its job to do.There's a method to this madness,even if its completely unclear to us now.
A popular example is given of a tapestry....right now,down here we only get to see the tangles and knots at the back.

I don't know these people from Adam.why then am I standing here in middle of my Pesach cleaning with tears running down my face? I see the beautiful pictures of Daniel Perez,he could be MY son,everyone's son- and the courageous words of his father and it's finishing me off.How much suffering do we need to endure? Surely its enough already.
