Food 4 Thought
Judaism teaches that the moment of eating is actually a very important moment, not just physically for our bodies, but spiritually as well. The Kabbalah teaches that the food we eat is “home” to many holy sparks spread around the world and, consequently, each time we eat we have the opportunity to elevate the sparks and thereby participate in fixing the world. Learn more about how to eat in a way that helps repair the world.

Instructions

  • Rinse cilantro well. (I usually submerge the bunch of cilantro in a deep container filled with water. This allows any fine sand or other non-plant material to sink to the bottom.)
  • Drain off excess water
  • Weigh the cilantro and add half the weight of hot peppers to the cilantro. Stems should be removed and other types of hot peppers can be used depending on the level of heat desired.
  • Add a rounded tablespoon of garlic and about ½ teaspoon salt and stir until thoroughly mixed.

Notes

Excess can be frozen in small containers for later use.
