Cook Time 15 minutes

Our Jewish version of the spicy egg boil.

I’ve been keeping a watchful eye on the latest and greatest recipes to become Tiktok famous, dreaming up ways to put a unique, Jew-ish twist into the Tiktok universe.

I have to admit I was skeptical about this when I first saw it. Egg? In a buttery Cajun sauce? Trust me, I love an egg in my cholent, but I wasn’t sure about this one. But with over 147 million views on #eggboil… I had to try. Truthfully, I think I might make this weekly from now on.

Why? For one thing, it’s a simple recipe that is made in less than 30 minutes. Beyond the stick of butter, it’s relatively nutritious. Not only that, but it’s versatile – it can be eaten as a snack, spooned over top rice, or used to dip your challah into.

Inspired by the traditional Moroccan fish recipe called Chraime, I adapted the trendy spicy egg boil to make this incredible Jewish variation. Check out more viral tiktok recipes made Jewish here.

Did you know that Judaism is very big on table manners? How we conduct ourselves while we eat says a lot about how seriously we are taking the activity? Get more Jewish food thoughts here.
