I'm only vaguely familiar with Brand, but to be fair, he doesn't seem to be spouting the sort of Christian anti-Semitism of Tucker Carlson or Candace Owens; instead, he seems to be caught up in its more utopian ideas: turn the other cheek, forgive your enemies, judge not lest ye be judged. I suspect he thinks that Hamas can't REALLY be that bad, to just want to kill Jews for the sake of it; there must be some way to reason them out of it. It's more naive than malicious, not anti-Jewish so much as trying not to be anti-anyone.

Which is not, of course, to say that it's unproblematic. Before the Holocaust, there were decent people who thought that Hitler couldn't REALLY mean all the things that he promised. We've seen the price of being too nice to call out evil.

I am Sorry to tell you that this article seems interesting but I couldn’t listen to it entirely because the speaker or the rabbi speaks too rapidly. How is it possible? The topic is profound yeah? I couldn’t concentrate
