Jewel Safren

Jewel Safren is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has spent decades helping clients get to the root of their emotional struggles while building lives of stability and meaning - work informed as much by clinical training as by Jewish wisdom. She has been endorsed by Rabbi Paysach Krohn, Rabbi Akiva Tatz and Rabbi Jonathan Rietti, and has contributed to research projects at Stanford University and the National Institute of Mental Health. She has been a scholar in residence at Passover programs, has spoken at The National Association of Social Workers national conference, and has been a guest on JM in the AM and several podcasts discussing mental health through a Jewish lens.  She doesn’t pull any punches in her writing. Her articles, written from a Jewish perspective, are humorous and full of hard-won wisdom about relationships, marriage, parenting, mental wellbeing and resilience. She lives in Fair Lawn NJ with her husband, and thank God has a large family. You can contact Jewel at jewelsafrenlcsw@gmail.com or text her at 973 464 8556
