Fun. Learned a few interesting things, like the one about Van Gogh. But----- as a well-known Jerusalem cat rescuer, I believe that the Brits bringing cats here is a well-loved and much expounded upon urban legend. In every country around the Mediterranean, there are myriads of homeless suffering cats. The winters are mild, so they survive through the winters, albeit on the brink of starvation. Plus the human populations are largely oblivious to their suffering and only bare handfuls of people try to sterilize them to prevent kittens being born to suffer and die in the streets. I have spayed 1,097 cats in Jerusalem's Old City.
