If you're looking for a fun way to celebrate Hanukkah this year, why not make your own chocolate gelt? This easy DIY project is sure to bring a smile to your face. Plus, it's a great way to connect with your Jewish roots and create a fun activity for the whole family. To make your own chocolate gelt, you'll need some chocolate and muffin tins or parchment paper or a chocolate mold. Start by melting the chocolate in the microwave or a double boiler. Once it's completely melted, spread it on muffin tins or in circles on the paper. Sprinkle with cacao nibs and/or cinnamon. If you want to get real fancy you can pick up gold or silver edible dust or spray. This is a fun and easy way to make your own gelt and celebrate Hanukkah in a unique and creative way.
If you don’t mind the less perfect look or have a really steady hand simply spoon out circles of chocolate directly onto parchment paper, but for a more standard look use mini muffin containers.
