A mother who is expecting a boy would like to name him after the same grandfather she is named after. Is there an issue with that?
Typically when a woman is named after a man, the name is changed slightly – to a girl’s version of the name (such as Nechama instead of Nechemiah). If so, the mother’s and son’s name will not be identical and it is fine.
