Take Me Up To The Ball Game

December 1, 2011 | by

Sol Supperstein’s dream was to one day be a manager of a major league baseball team. But unfortunately, his dream never came to pass.

After 120 years, when Sol went up to heaven, he was granted one wish, and he chose to be a baseball manager. Fortunately for Sol, he was overwhelmed by all the available talent - Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, and many other superstars.

Sol marveled at his club but realized that they would have to play against someone. Just then the phone rang. It was Satan calling to challenge the heavenly team to a game.

"But you haven't got a chance of winning," said Sol. "I’ve got all the great ball players."

Satan explained, "Oh, I know that. But I've got all the umpires!"
