- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- ¾ cup peeled pistachios
- 1 tablespoon ras el hanout
- 1 egg
Tahini, pickles, harissa or schug, for serving
In a medium sauté pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 10 minutes.
Add pistachios and ras el hanout and mix well. Taste and add salt and pepper to taste.
Preheat oven to 400℉ and line a baking sheet with parchment.
Slice the puff pastry into 4-inch squares. Place a spoonful of minced meat on the sheet pan and top with a square of dough. Repeat with remaining meat and dough. Brush dough with egg.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden. Turn one square over, spread with tahini or other favorite spreads and top with another square making the perfect boureka sandwich.
