Cake Dough and Crumble
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- ¾ cup 200 g butter or vegan butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoons Jamie Geller Lime and Mint Honey
Apple Filling
- 1 ¾ pounds apples peeled, cored, and cubed
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons Jamie Geller Lime and Mint Honey
Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. Add butter, eggs and honey and mix until dough begins to form. Knead with hands to form a ball. Let dough sit for 15 minutes.
Preheat oven to 180°C or 360 °F. Line a 10-inch springform pan with baking paper, lightly grease the edges and dust with flour.
Press two thirds of the dough into the pan and up the edges.
In a medium bowl combine apples, lemon juice, cinnamon and sugar, and honey. Spread over the dough in the pan. Top with remaining dough crumbled over top.
Bake for 55 minutes or until nice and golden. Remove from oven to cool before cutting and enjoying.
