Ingredients

Cake Dough and Crumble

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • ¾ cup 200 g butter or vegan butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons Jamie Geller Lime and Mint Honey

Apple Filling

  • 1 ¾ pounds apples peeled, cored, and cubed
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons Jamie Geller Lime and Mint Honey

Instructions

  • Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. Add butter, eggs and honey and mix until dough begins to form. Knead with hands to form a ball. Let dough sit for 15 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 180°C or 360 °F. Line a 10-inch springform pan with baking paper, lightly grease the edges and dust with flour.
  • Press two thirds of the dough into the pan and up the edges.
  • In a medium bowl combine apples, lemon juice, cinnamon and sugar, and honey. Spread over the dough in the pan. Top with remaining dough crumbled over top.
  • Bake for 55 minutes or until nice and golden. Remove from oven to cool before cutting and enjoying.
