A unique selection of art depicting Jewish Magical Realism.
Over the last year, Zvi Suchet, a Fine Artist from Cape Town, South Africa, has gained critical acclaim for his inimitable style of Jewish Magical Realism. His work (which was previously featured on Aish.com here) is a unique mix of photography and illustration that delves into the world of Talmudic symbolism. In it, he explores themes of identity as a Jew in the modern world.
Zvi’s debut exhibition “The Radiant Portal” is currently on show at the South African Jewish Museum and its immense popularity has seen it being extended four times. While the exhibition was intended to travel the world in 2020, plans were sadly halted due to the coronavirus pandemic. Suchet and his creative team have produced an interactive online virtual version of the exhibition, which includes all 40 artworks, in-depth explanations, videos, artist sketches, and behind-the-scenes insights. You can view the exhibition here: www.theradiantportal.com
