How many donors does Aish.com have?

Guess how many people donated money to Aish.com last year?

5097 people gave us support from their hard-earned money. And I’m sure many more wanted to but simply couldn’t due to their financial straits. It sounds like a lot of people, doesn't it?

It's not. That's less than 1% of visitors that come to our site.

(Yes this is going to lead to a pitch – no bait and switch here. So I understand if you want to bail now, but do me a favor and give me 90 seconds of your time and read the rest of my blog.)

I love what I do. I get to work with an enormously dedicated team of people who are privileged to wake up each day to reach out to hundreds of thousands of people with innovative, meaningful Jewish content. And our site makes a real difference in people's lives. Aish.com is a lifeline to so many people around the globe. Our small team has built one of the largest Jewish education programs in the world today, and we’ve been surviving on miracles and God’s continuous blessing.

We're coming to the end of our biggest fundraising campaign of the year – our sweepstakes – and, well, we wish it was it going better.

Imagine if Aish.com wasn't a free website but rather a printed magazine that cost $2 a week. Would you buy it? That’s half a cup of Starbucks coffee. I think a vast majority of our readers would. That's roughly $100 a year – an amazing deal for the amount of inspiring, insightful content you'd get every week.

So it would be great if more of you would donate. You would be partners with us in bringing Jewish wisdom to the world.

Don't get me wrong – our site will always remain freely accessible to everyone who has the slightest bit of interest in learning more about Judaism. That's the raison d'etre of the site. We are passionately committed to bringing high caliber content to the masses that convey the relevance and meaning of Judaism in today’s world. We just hope that we are building a partnership here, a relationship where we're giving something of real value to you, and in appreciation you’re happy to give some support back to us.

Something to think about. I realize that times are tough and not everyone is in a position to give. But every amount helps. This is the last week of the sweepstakes, so please do what you can and click on one of the links below.

Have a great Shavuot!

Sincerely

Nechemia Coopersmith
