The High Holidays mark the beginning of the Jewish new year. They begin with the holiday of Rosh Hashanah (October 3-4, 2024) and culminate ten days later with Yom Kippur (October 12, 2024). This period is known as the The Tens Days of Penitence. It is a time when God is especially close to us and hears our prayers. The High Holidays are a time for introspection and self-improvement, in which we beseech God for a favorable judgment for the coming year. Read more about the High Holidays »
