On the basketball court, Dwayne Wade achieved it all. Three NBA championships, 13-time All Star selection, Olympic gold medalist, NBA Finals MVP, NBA scoring champion, etc. etc.

What is less known is that off the court, Wade has quietly and consistently performed tremendous acts of kindness, including:

• When a family’s house burned down, Wade treated them to a shopping spree.
• When a woman desperately wanted to go to college, but couldn’t afford it, Wade provided a full scholarship.
• Wade’s mother Jolinda – a drug user and alcoholic who was sentenced to prison when he was eight years old – turned her life around, thanks to his loyalty and support.
