Arnie Bernstein lives in Chicago, where he is a writer, teacher, speaker, and book coach. His book Swastika Nation: Fritz Kuhn and The Rise & Fall of the German-American Bund is the comprehensive history of the 1930s American Nazi organization. The book, which earned praise from The New York Times and Publisher’s Weekly, was also released in Poland. Bernstein also authored Bath Massacre: America’s First School Bombing. He speaks about his books, writing, and other creative endeavors for universities, high schools, museums, community organizations, and history conferences. Bernstein has also been interviewed on MSNBC, NPR, the BBC, The New York Times, Washington Post, The Jerusalem Post, and many other traditional and new media platforms. He writes all first drafts on manual typewriters (Royal Quiet DeLuxe, Olympia SM-9, and Smith-Corona Skyriter).
