About the Author

Elissa Felder

Elissa Felder, originally from London, England moved to the US in 1985. Her first child Sam died in surgery at the age of 6 months. After raising her ensuing 5 children she returned to the workforce as a RN working in the field of women and child health. For the last few years she has led women on the Momentum trips to Israel from Providence, RI where she now lives. As a community leader she teaches and organizes follow up for her "Momentum Sisters." In addition to leading on the Momentum trips Elissa is a co-leader on the amazing Women's Reconnection Trip to Israel. She recently founded and is the Executive Director of Core Connects RI whose mission is to connect, celebrate and inspire Jewish women of all ages and all affiliations. In this role she organizes events and gatherings in RI , teaches and hosts Shabbat and Holiday meals in her home and beyond. Elissa is also an active member of the Providence RI chevra kadisha and is available to speak about it’s importance and significance.
